Spare wheel...........where?

Featured Replies

I need a spare wheel for my Mitsu Triton 4 door

Its been stolen from the underside of the truck, any ideas where to look?

Does not have to be perfect match as long as same size

Thanks

Get a cheap 2nd hand rim n tyre from a local tyre shop.. It only needs to get you to a repair place in an emergency. Thiefs won't steal a <deleted> one :)

Thieves here will steal anything that isnt welded down.

I had a similar problem (dont actually know whether the original was stolen or just fell off as the factory fitting clamp barely holds the wheel in place, with only a couple of mm to spare on either side).

I found it extremely difficult to find a used wheel and tyre, which is surprising given that nearly everyone seems to lose theirs at some point. Are all the stolen ones taken to Cambodia?

After trying about 20 tyre shops in Pattaya I did find one in Banglamung. And it wasnt anything approaching cheap.

I put a lock on mine enclosed in a heavy duty plastic bag with a good spray of WD40 or similiar in the bag to stop rust. Had to use it after about 18 months, easy to unlock. Works for me.

I had a lock on mine but it didnt stop the wheel from coming off.
