I pulled from a side road on my bike on Friday, un-beknown to me, there was some kind of convoy of 4x4's, both Malay and Thai trucks. All trucks had number stickers and stickers from events on the truck doors.

They weren't very happy to see me in the middle of their cavalcade, and went to great extremes to pass me, although I was on a bike quite capable of overtaking and clearing column, but they wouldn't let me into the right hand lane, it was bumper to bumper 4x4's.

In the end, I felt i uncomfortable, I pulled over until all had passed.

The next day, I saw 2 nutters in cars with similar but not the same stickers on their doors, hurtling down the Petakasem road ..

What gives ? Is this some kind of legal point-to-point time trial on public roads ?

I think they're terrified of losing sight of the car in front. They'd be completely lost
