I have used the visa run services by Quick Thai Visa Run (see post below) three years ago on my last stay that used a long bus to run to Cambodia and back rather than the mini bus that most services use.

This was a much more comfortable way to spend the day rather than being packed into a mini bus like sardines for 4 hours there and back.

Anyone know of a visa run service that uses the long bus rather than the mini bus. The web site for Quick Thai Visa Run seems to be down.

Quick Thai Visa Run website:

Archived post about the service on ThaiVisa:

Thanks

I have a Non-Imagrant O multi entry visa... Is my only option to extend the 90 day stay to leave and return through boarder by land or air... ??

I am looking into changing over to a marriage visa but i do not think i will have time or immediate access to funds to complete the process and requirements before my initial 90 days are up...

Thanks,

You will apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai (it is not a visa).

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife at an immigration office to give you more time to get the one year extension. Your wife will need to go with you when you apply for it. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book and ID card.

You will also need proof of residence if not living where your wife's house book is for.

I found all of the relevant info about requirements for the 1 year extension such as 40k monthly income or 400k in a bank for two months prior to the application but i do not see what the fees are for the application nor can i find the actual application to fill out ahead of time.

I can not find any info on the immigration site about the 60 day extension. Can you point me in the right direction. As far as proof of residence we are currently on a month to month basis at our apartment now. What will i need to prove residence, the apartment is in my wife name.

What is the fee for the 60 day extension etc. ??

Thank you,

R

P.S. That immigration site is a mess have they not updated it since the beginning of the internet... =0

The fee for the 60 day extension to visit your wife is 1900 baht and you complete a TM7 form.

Your wife will need to go with you and you will need the documents I posted earlier.

What is needed to prove residence will depend upon the immigration office you go to. Many will want a rental agreement with signed copies of the owners house book and ID card attached. You should at the least have a letter from the apartment management or owner stating you are living there.

You will find no useful info about extensions on the immigration website.

The link you posted provides info from a rescinded police order. The 60 day extension is clause 2.24 of Police Order 327/2557 basis for extension of stay.

Ok disregard the questions about the 1yr extension. This site explains it more simply than any other including fees etc...

I am still confused about the 60 day extension though...

60 day extension based on visiting thai family does not need as much paperwork as the 1 year extension, and you may be able to do it yourself and it is done the same day (usually a few minutes). The limitation is that you can only do the 60 day extension once per entry. So if you wanted to do it again, you'd have to leave thailand, come back on any visa or visa-exempt, and then you can extend that entry for 60 days based on visiting thai family.

The one-year extension can be extended back-to-back indefinitely as long as you still meet the qualifications.
