May 8, 201511 yr I have a trip booked already to HCMC. I will get a new tourist visa while there. Can I fly out bkk say week early to Singapore fly back to bkk same day I fly out and not need a visa or stamp? Thank you in advance.
May 8, 201511 yr I have heard of people getting away with it, but legally you must enter another country before returning. Failing to do so would be a huge risk.
May 8, 201511 yr Seems I understand the thread starter differently. "no visa, no stamp": not quite sure what you mean. If you enter Singapore (pass SIN immigration) and then return same day the action is perfectly legal. (assuming you don't have a long "suspect" travel history) Of course you get stamps leaving BKK, entering and leaving SIN, entering BKK. No visa needed (depending on your nationality ?). There are cheaper targets for a one day border run by air (Kuala Lumpur e.g.). Edited May 8, 201511 yr by KhunBENQ
May 8, 201511 yr Is the need to go to Singapore because your existing tourist visa expires before you leave for HCMC? If so, have you already extended your tourist visa?
May 9, 201511 yr Author Thanks for the replies. This trip to HCMC was to get a new tourist visa. The idea of a week in Singapore prior was just for travel. I guess I was hoping to be regarded as in transit. Simply fly into bkk from Singapore and fly straight out to HCMC. Clearly that's not possible.
May 9, 201511 yr You can only transit is if you you have a connecting flight that is eligible for it, If you have checked luggage it almost has to be on the same airline. You would get a visa exempt entry if you cannot transit.
