PATTAYA:--In conjunction with the French Embassy in Bangkok, Pattaya Police and a selection of officers from around Chonburi Province have taken part in a 3 day course in Child trafficking and abuse and how to prevent and investigate such crimes.

French Police Officers attached to their Central Office for the repression of violence against People (OCRVP) travelled to Thailand to run the training course for Police in Pattaya.

Theory and Practical classes took place including a mock-up of a child abduction and abuse case using a Pattaya Hotel whereby a foreigner was thought to have abused a child. Officers were shown how to systematically go through the crime scene and detect and collect forensic evidence which could lead to a conviction in Court.

Does this mean the Pattaya Police Dept did not have any such training before? If so, I thought Thailand had been aggressively working the human trafficking problem for years which surely would have included training, right?
