Have had Tyre sensors fitted from new 5+ years.

The other day for the first time it beeped telling me there was a problem with rear nearside tyre.

I had a look and checked the tyre pressure all seemed ok has been doing the same for the last few days every time I turn the key.

Checked and couldn't find anything wrong, put it down to a problem with sensor.

Today having to go past the local engineers called in. They found the problem strait away I had a very small nail in the centre of Tyre wasn't letting any air out but as they said the tyre had a problem and sensor told you about it.

Just shows you how sensitive they are.

Only put the post in to show everyone that they sensors are not as has been as suggested in the past are just a toy.

Impressive...

Impressed me as well I didn't know how good they were.

In future I shall believe everything that it says.

N/B I have had the car laid up for 4 months and had over inflated the tyres, it was just one of the things that made me think I might have buggered it and it was telling lies.

But as said human lost.

Saved you a puncture or even a blowout . What car was this on .

Hate to say because us drivers are regarded as idiots by some peeps, but a Fortuner Sportivo. Will replace the tyre more than likely two before I do any high speed trips.

I know it was only a very small nail in centre of tread but you never know.

bravo!! - a well balanced story

...but you are now tempting fate...

Hopefully not that's why I shall change two tyres even at a cost of nearly 11th BHT each my life is worth more than that.

Good safety feature , as many vehicles have inncorrect tire pressures . " Correctly " pluged , the tire sould be fine , but yes , up-to-you . wai2.gif . Nice car , IMO .
