Lost Divorce Certificate

Featured Replies

I got married and divorced in Bangkok 15 years ago but don't know at which Amphur. I'm getting re-married at the end of the year and cannot find my divorce certificate.

The divorce was uncontested and a straightforward procedure. How do I go about getting a copy? I'm now based in Hong Kong

Thanks

Maybe if you can get the ID card number of your ex-Thai wife you can have a lawyer check the registry and check when she was married to you and when you divorced. Just an idea if that can help you. I guess it was marriage to a Thai women. My self, I married 15 years ago and at that time it was in Bangrak district in Bangkok as it was one of the few place that were dealing with foreigners.

Thanks but haven't spoken to her since then and no way to get hold of her. I'm assuming a visit to the Amphur is required in person?
