My mate, 63yo is in BKK.

He's a quiet chap, not fat, just normal looking, pleasant, not rich, factory worker in UK. Divorced many many years.

Anyway, he's in BKK as said, been to Phuket before, not a big drinker, non smoker.

So, he goes into nana plaza, goes in an A go go, has a drink, birds sits next to him blah blah blah

Anyway, they sit drink & chat

She wants a bit more. She then puts her hand down his jeans!!!

Anyway, he needs to clean up. He gets his bill BUT the lady wants 1000 for services. He refuses, she's not happy, a young man then smacks him in the face!!

It's a lesson he's learned but just my two penneth worth was very uncalled for.

He's back next Monday & probably won't ever return.

SCENARIO 1

She was trying to "get him going" so that he would take her out to his hotel, but didn't expect him to get his jollies so quickly (and for free). She was then angry and wanted to charge more than the going rate (for that particular service), since she lost out on the barfine and proper payment. She gets her male counterpart to bash him.

SCENARIO 2

She fully intended to make him finish quickly, and get whatever sum of money she wanted, without having to leave the bar. When he disagreed, she had him bashed by her male counterpart.

While i understand, it is both parties responsibility to negotiate the price beforehand (more so the customer's for his safety), her actions were dispicable. And as other members have mentioned, freebies can happen, espeicailly if drinks are bought.

I expect she wouldn't have charged him if he had barfined her anyway. When he didn't, she wanted payment.

A case of dumb and dumber.

Next time he should avoid such a nastly place and go to one of the more customer friendly venues.

And yes, he is lucky it was only 1k. Someone should show him the Chiang Mai karaoke bar thread.
