Thais wont do the work so where are they going to get workers?

Oh I forgot these illegal workers

they need work permits?

cant do labour jobs #1

cant do construction jobs #3

report every 90 days?

catch 22

"Thais wont do the work so where are they going to get workers?"

They should take the enlightened approach used in "advanced" countries like the UK ... but wait until the corpses litter the beaches before reacting.

Asked what view she took of gang bosses who profit from the slave labour of illegal immigrants, she said: "I think they would be criminals of the worst possible kind, that are prepared to exploit those that are the most vulnerable in our communities."

Can you imagine some nanny state Brit resorting to actual work when slave labour is readily available?

Why do countries arrest illegal foreign workers??????? (The West does this also) Shouldn't head of companies be held responsbile and be arrested? If these construction sights did not hire the illegal foreign workers, then the "illegals" wouldn't be sneaking across the border. --- But we all see the Cambodians and Burmese working at these sites carrying bags of cement up and down steps, standing on wobbly bamboo scaffling, or hanging on a rope painting the side of a building--- no safety precaution what so ever and we expats know these foreigners are mostly illegal. Doesn't take much investigation. You think these condo projects could afford to pay hundreds of workers 300 baht a day?
