ever since the automobile was invented there have ben efforts to make a "flying car" - but apart from the odd example we don't have them...why?

because ....

firstly there is no need.

secondly it's completely impractical (imagine several thousand flying cars commuting in Bkk!!)

...and thirdly the two technologies are mutually exclusive.

does not upset me at all..... the same old broken record gets tiring though.

I do not see the need to post up old rides, they are gone so no need to dwell on the past (for me).

I had a test drive in the M1 in Braunschweig It had the same engine as the 633 but the gear-box was mounted at the rear end. it is a mid engine

car. They wanted 100,000 DM new. The following week i brought a 308 GT4 Ferrari from Becker in Dusseldorf cost new in 1978 53,000 DM

The 308 was the best of all. First mid engine V8 from ferrari, 236 PS (horse power ) For the day very quick. I will say the best and most releiable sports

car Ever.. Design Bertoni

I got in a Dino once, i got out with the aid of a Bobcat Trencher.gigglem.gif

They were badged Dino to start with, the one I had was in 1978 and was badged Ferrari It was the most fantastic car to drive at the time. I ordered my one in dark

blue with cream leather seats. I got a call from Becker they said i should go and see them the next day as the car had arrived. It was about 1900 by the time i arrived

already dark.

They explained that the car had a differant spec to the one I ordered. So we went into the show room, and there under the lights was a red 308GT4

black fabric seats. Disappointed NO it was drop dead gourgeous (as they say) In fact it was so beatiful i was more than pleased,I could not sleep for the few days

it took to do all the necessary before delivery. The first few thousand kms was run in period,no engine revs over 4000 ect ect.

I drove it every day,and used it as a normal car.never ever did i have a problem,i sold it two years later with 120,000kms on the clock.it never missed a beat.

This is just one of the cars i have been lucky to own.
