Does anyone have a copy of the TM.7 that prints out clearly ?

I think all the TM7 for downloads are the same. Did you try changing the printer settings to best quality or whatever it is called on your printer settings. Perhaps try converting it to a PDF and then printing it,

Normally proof of residence is not needed at Jomtien from posts I have read. But there was post saying a persons was asked for it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I saved the form in .pdf and then set the printer to "plain paper, best quality" and it worked. Everything else I printed/copied/scanned seemed to work normally. Just need my bank letter and some shiny new pics of my smiling mug and I'm set to go. May even go there early (I'm good to 2 June but that is right after a long weekend). I'd probably be better off going the week before, or even next week to give myself that extra wiggle-room in case I've missed something.

Sooner rather than later is definitely better in my view. Actually you could have applied for your extension of stay at Jomtien anytime up to 45 days before your existing permission to stay expires on 2 June (in other words from Monday 20 April in practice), and your stay would still be extended to 2 June 2016 (assuming everything OK, of course). Something to be borne in mind next year, perhaps?

Just finished doing my 1 year Extension of Stay, Multi-Entry Permit and 90 day report at Jomtien. So cheap, so quick and so easy ! All told it took me about a grand total of an hour and 10 minutes over 2 days (once inside the building), and 5,710 baht (the extra 10 baht being for the couple new passport photocopies I had to make on the 2nd day). (Plus the few baht I spent on the new passport photos.)

I had the forms (TM.7, TM.8) filled out before going to Jomtien, as well as having all the photocopying done beforehand and new passport photos as well. My plan was to arrive there complete except for a couple of signatures.

Despite arriving at 07:20 and being the first person at the door I ended up with #805. The young lady at the counter to the left as you walk in looked through my paperwork, took the stuff needed and stapled it together and gave it back to me. Got my number, sat down and started reading my book, expecting them to start calling numbers at 08:30.

However, they started at about 08:20 ! Then I saw why there were 4 people ahead of me - they had grabbed a blank TM.7 and got a number, but didn't bother filling anything out until they got called to the desk. They called up the first 6 numbers at the same time (they are getting more and more efficient every time I go there) !

Meanwhile, the Immigration clerk looked through my bundle of papers, took my passport, asked for my bank book (as she wanted to photocopy the page showing the last deposit, or the page showing the balance 3 months ago) and then asked for the 1,900 baht fee and had me sign the various pages, forms and photocopies. Gave me a little card with a number and told me to come back the next day at 10 to get my passport.

I was probably out of there by 08:30.

Went back today at 09:50, TM.8 filled out, extra passport photos in hand. Got my passport, made a quick photocopy of the page with the shiny new "Extension of Stay" page and got a # for the Multi-entry desk. It's been pretty quiet at Jomtien recently it seems. The place was barely half full. I was the next in line for Desk 2 but the lady there wanted a photocopy of the page with my old Extension and Re-Entry stamp (zipped out and back in barely 2 minutes). Gave her the copy and 4,000 baht. Sat down to read a little more of my book (at this rate it's going to take me 10 years to get through this one Dan Brown novel) !

A couple minutes later she calls my number, hands me back my passport and 200 baht change. Zipped back to the front counter to get a # for the "90 Day Report" desk. Only 1 person ahead of me but then another Immigration guy sits down and my number is called. I hand him my passport (and nothing else). He does something on his computer, answers a phone call, gets a print-out from the computer, staples it into my passport and hands it back to me. Finished !

I was out of there less than 40 minutes after arriving, having gotten my Extension of Stay, Multi-entry permit and 90 Day report all completed.

(Needless to say, I had showered/shaved and dressed neatly before going to Immigration, and at each counter made a point of wai-ing and adding a polite "sawadee khrap" when I was called up, and a polite wai and "Khop khun khrap" when everything was completed. I think it also helps to be there early, before they've had to spend hours dealing with rude people that don't know what a shower is and can't seem to comprehend that if you have a number ticket for desk 9, you should sit by desk 9 and wait, instead of going to the head of the line for desk 4 and trying to get the person there to deal with you and almost getting into an argument with them when they tell you to go to the proper desk. Might also help that being we are into the "low" season they aren't having to deal with quite as many people so things are a little easier.)

So yes, a quick, cheap, easy and pleasant experience was had (by me at least) !
