BANGKOK: -- Thailand is the happiest country to be gay in East Asia and ranked 16th in the world, according to the recent “Gay Happiness Index” from dating service PlanetRomeo.

Based on a survey of 115,000 gay men worldwide, Netherlands-based PlanetRomeo said Thailand is in "green zone" of gay, scoring an average of 67 points out of 100 in terms of how positive society views and treats gay men, and how satisfied gay men are with their lives.

Thailand counted 1,549 participants in the survey, and is the only country in East Asia to be ranked in the top 20, followed by Taiwan (34) and Cambodia (35). Israel is ranked seventh making it the happiest country for gay men on the Asian continent.

Perhaps you were asleep when they taught that in school, or maybe your school sucked, or you need to go back to school.

Try doing some basic research:

It is sad to read rude replies. The link would have sufficed, with a "Please read this".

I understand what you are saying geographically BUT today, by race, most westerners would not accept Israel as being a part of Asia coffee1.gif

Sorry to disappoint you but Israel is in Asia.

Sorry to disappoint you again with language and grammar.

And thirdly, no you can't.

This has nothing to do with race, they are talking about continents.

Are you a politician or lawyer (or perhaps a Thai journalist) by any chance?

And if you look at the quoted reference map, only half of New Guinea is shown as Asian and the other half not. I wonder why the same piece of island is thus divided? My comments therefore are still based on "race" rather than geography. Do you think the Arab nations consider themselves of Asia? If you're not sure, ask some Arab peoples.

As "gay" has changed in what it means over time, then perhaps "asian" has also whistling.gif

Nor sure what you're on about.

The Middle East is part of the Asian continent.

If Middle East residents aren't aware of that, too bad.

Consider TURKEY, famously partly in Europe, mostly in Asia.

Is that so hard to process for you?

BTW -- "Arab" is not a race and lots of people living in the Middle East are not Arabs.

Also of course not to forget the majority Arab countries that are on the AFRICAN continent.

My sincerest apologies, I did not realize how delicate you are and I certainly did not realize the geography police were so much more rude than the grammar police.

Can't we just be happy to be happy? Do we have to draw attention to being gay?

Why? What's wrong with being gay?

Just keep it in your pants...many people do not care for all the exposure...
