Crime Drunken Brother-in-Law Stabbed in Violent Altercation in Samut Prakan
Picture courtesy of Kaoded. A domestic altercation took a bloody turn on the night on 14 July, after a drunken man wielding a box cutter was stabbed in the abdomen during a brawl with his brother-in-law, leaving him seriously injured. At approximately 21:30, emergency services and police from Samrong Nuea Police Station were called to a apparent block on Soi Bearing 30 in Samrong Nuea subdistrict, Mueang Samut Prakan district, following reports of a stabbing incident. Upon arrival, officers found 46-year-old Jiraphat Kongsabut lying on a bench in the lobby with severe abdominal injuries and protruding intestines, the result of a knife wound to his right side. Medics from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation administered emergency first aid before transferring him to Samut Prakan Hospital in critical condition. The alleged assailant was identified as Jirawat “Joke” Kamlue, 49, the brother of the victim’s wife and also his supervisor at a furniture painting job. He reportedly suffered a cut to his right index finger during the scuffle and fled the scene with his wife, Yasita Naksawat, 46, who had sustained a deep laceration to her wrist. They later sought treatment at a local hospital before Jirawat turned himself in to police around 01:00 on 15 July. CCTV footage from the fifth floor captured the dramatic confrontation. The footage shows Mr. Jiraphat, dressed in black and holding a pointed kitchen knife, ascending from the fourth to the fifth floor to confront Mr. Jirawat, who was shirtless. A scuffle broke out as relatives and neighbours tried to intervene, but Mr. Jirawat managed to seize the knife and stabbed Mr. Jiraphat once in the abdomen. Bystanders quickly carried the wounded man downstairs to await emergency services. Neighbours said both men were relatives by marriage and co-workers in the same trade. The altercation appeared to stem from a drunken dispute. One resident, who had been socialising with them earlier in the evening, said tensions flared after drinking. The injured man had allegedly gone up to his brother-in-law’s flat on three separate occasions to provoke a fight. In his police statement, Mr. Jirawat claimed that Mr. Jiraphat, heavily intoxicated, attempted to attack him multiple times throughout the evening using a box cutter. He said he had initially tried to avoid confrontation, asking to resolve the matter in the morning, but was eventually forced to defend himself when the intrusions persisted. He stated that his wife was injured during the struggle and is currently awaiting surgery on her wrist. Police are continuing to investigate the incident and further questioning of all parties involved is expected. Charges are likely to be filed pending the outcome of the investigation and medical reports. Adapted by Asean Now from Kaoded 2025-07-16 -

Crime Teenage Boy Hospitalised After Being Bludgeoned Over ฿300 Debt in Chaiyaphum
Is there a father in the family of that that aggressor? If there is a father, he would have to be a psychopath to explain such a behaviour... I am always amazed that these violent acts seem to happen so often, when i have never heard of anything similar in my country when i was a teen.... The absence of a father could explain it, which would bring out the question, who really would be responsible for this tragedy..... -

Yes, Israel’s plan for Rafah would be a crime but international law has never protected Gaza
I am opposing any person who is falsely accusing Israelis of mass murder in Gaza. Making false accusations against Israel is indeed antisemitism. In fact, it's a hallmark of antisemitism. In medieval times, Jews were accused of poisoning wells, spreading disease and killing Christian children to obtain their blood for use in rituals. Your list of atrocities Israeli forces are accused of committing in Gaza is simply an updating of an old string of false accusations against Jews.. You are just playing word games with the phrase "right to exist." The peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia is an entirely different set of circumstances than the struggle of Jews to create and defend a homeland and Jewish-majority sovereign state. That's optimistic. Several posters have expressed support for the destruction of Israel, but the mods usually react if the rhetoric becomes too antisemitic. Here's an example that doesn't go over the top: I haven't sacrificed anyone. Hamas' refusal to recognize Israel as a sovereign state and its repeated attacks on Israel led to military action that has cost a lot of Palestinian lives. If condemning Hamas and hoping it's eliminated entirely from Gaza can somehow be construed as supporting Hamas, then I guess I'm guilty. But in that case, I would gladly lend my support to Hezbollah, the Houthis, the IRGC of Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, Al Qaeda and several others. -
