I've been working self-employed for about 15 years and never payed or had a bill for class 2 national insurance contributions. If anybody can help me with what I should do that would be great thanks. I have all the other documents but not sure what to do about this one. would it be ok to use my last three SA302 forms as evidence ?

use the SA302 as evidence of ongoing self-employment I mean. I pay class 4 nic and I didn't know I had to pay class 2 nic because I've never had a bill and nobody told me. Even if I start paying now do you think they would give me a 15 year bill ?

I might be wrong, but I don't think you need to pay a 15 year bill. You have to demonstrate that you met the requirements in the last full financial year. If you didn't pay your NI contributions for the rest of the time, then it your State Pension that will suffer when you reach retirement age, I guess.

They don't ask for ongoing evidence of self employment. They require evidence of self employment for the whole of the last full financial year.
