Yunla
Doing something bad and then saying sorry, is what children do. The reason children are allowed to say sorry and receive forgiveness, is that they are too young to know any better. I grow weary of this modern trend of adults (including world leaders) doing something bad and then just saying sorry. Well thats okay, we'll just stop your lunchtime milk until Friday, and curtail your playground privileges too. Since you're obviously eight years old. scouser
Banned for life from football? Never allowed into Thailand again? Come off it, it's what half the tourists come here for! It it were a bunch of postmen would you want them banned from delivering the mail? The girl was undoubtedly well paid and won't complain, so the public humiliation and a rap across the knuckles is sufficient punishment.

xavierr
Football players neither deserve the high status they are given, nor their high salaries. Wherever there is economic hardship there is prostitution. They could have engaged in their personal humiliation of the poor in a more private, discreet way. freebyrd
I've been a bit of a lad in my day, you can't spend 20 years in the army and pretened you were an angel, but it was always behind closed doors and without cameras. Perhaps I'm getting old but reading this makes me ashamed to be English.

No wonder the image of western males in Thailand has nosedived over the years with stupid yobs like these.
Traveling Sailor
"Earlier Leicester City had released a statement saying: “We take the conduct of our players at every level extremely seriously and will take appropriate action, if necessary, once the full facts of the situation have been established. Pending the outcome of an internal investigation the club will make no further comment.” Why should anyone believe you?? Prove it!

animatic
Lad culture is something you eventually grow out of, but before that you be STUPID in groups. These boys, not quite men, will get their dressing down or worse and very publicly. Maybe get canned, but certainly they are a detriment to the teams good name. Depends on how fast this blows over, and their talent, but these blokes got this glued to them for life in the newspapers back files of personality cockups. Som nom na, who cares reap what you sow. Rarely have I seen such an hysterical outburst on here from the offended and disgusted brigade. Really if so easily upset at commercial sex and mild 'racism' actually boyish banter then how can some of you put your high morals aside and live here or visit? Thailand IS the center of the SEA sex trade after all and I hate to break this to you but racism from the locals is rife as well. Maggusoil
This is odd. I have been in Thailand for more than 13 years and I have never once heard the term "slit eye" used in connection with a Thai person. The term "minging" is certainly not racist at all. The guys were paying for a service and were entitled therefore to rate that service out of ten, one out of ten indicated that consumers satisfaction with the service being offered. The real offence here is that the event was videoed and then made public. your right, but jeremy clarkson used the term "slope" is that the same? nobody wanted to hang him Wait a bit. How about farang or falung. Isn't that term to differentiate all of the rest of us from them. Used every day by everybody all the time?
DaveinAsia
What a hypocrisy again. A few guys get caught up in an act that happens on a daily basis here (probably more than once) but they are 'famous' and it has been recorded. Everyone is shouting murder or fire. Typical. If they were just a few punters nobody would even pay attention. I'm not saying it's normal to abuse any woman in this way but I suppose it comes with the territory. One of the reasons many single men come to this country is because it's easy and affordable to act out their sexual fantasies and some guys like to curse during the act. So what? Who are we to decide what other guys like? If people here are saying it's bad to buy oneself an orgy with 3 women and curse during the act then they should also accept that Thailand give up one of it's most profitable industries

prk888
unfortunately the real stupidity and immaturity is the publishing of the video and that's what should be considered and punished by the club. Those that live here know that most working girls wouldn't know what was being said and therefore would not/could not any take offence ................ just take the agreed fees for services rendered. IMHO sad but true

TallGuyJohninBKK
Couple of thoughts... 1. I watched the video on the Mirror website.. Must say, never heard the phrase "lick it" repeated so many times in a 1+ minute video!!! 2. From the sound of things on the video, the Thai women involved sounded like they were enjoying themselves at the time -- despite the "terrible" ordeal they were enduring. 3. The news article here says the lads "were filmed" conducting their orgy... However, I believe what occurred is they filmed themselves or arranged to do so... It's not like they were caught by surprise on "Candid Camera". The only things they have to apologize for are being amazingly stupid and having a poor vocabulary. reptile91602
It seems that no one on this blog has ever heard news coming out of the states regarding athletes. Morakot
Sod the apology and the empty words. I know they should have presented the lady with a gift basket. brewsterbudgen
Its a sign of the times that they have been hauled up for racist slurs when they were carrying out various sexual acts, some of which may be illegal, with Thai girls. I would have thought that the authorities would have them apologise for all their actions, not just the racial slur. Ridiculous! Which sex acts are illegal with Thai girls? mikosan
The use of the term slit-eye was unfortunate and inexcusable, unless maybe he was referring to the hole at the end of his pen!s? Actually, although not an excuse to reciprocate, aren't we racially abused every day we spend in Thailand when we are referred to constantly as farang's? Not that I care, I refer to myself as one. As for minging, well there's nothing racist about that and as someone mentioned earlier, maybe he was giving his opinion of the lady concerned, which, whilst not very flattering and certainly rude, was after all his opinion to which he is entitled after, no doubt, paying handsomely for her services. As for filming the incident and sharing it with their mates; whilst not what I and many others would do, I doubt very much whether it's the first time that's been done and would never have made the headlines in different circumstances. The real issue here is what was a football club, who are sponsored by a Thai company and on a promotional tour to Thailand, allowing ignorant, uneducated and immature young players, with too much money, the freedom to indulge in their fantasies when they should have been chaperoned 24 hours a day. By all means crucify the players concerned, they deserve that for being stupid, but what about the management of the club who were stupid enough to give that much freedom to them in the first place. Certainly, if I was the owners of Kingpower I'd be looking elsewhere to invest my millions.
