Savannakhet 1 way air ticket and back by bus to Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need to fly to Savannakhet on a one way ticket but the travel agent tells me I need to have some sort of proof that I am returning to Thailand and not staying in Laos otherwise they wont except me on the flight to Laos.

I am going to Laos to get a marriage multiple entry visa as well as I want to change passports in the air and come back into Thailand by land on another countries passport.

Is there anybody that can please help me with this.

I think the agent is trying to sell you a round trip ticket. You can do a one way online here: http://www.laos-airlines.com/epage.asp

Sure

Get a different "Agent" !

Thanks for the reply but its confusing as I was in the office when they phoned to find out and they were told I need proof that I am leaving Laos.

Please help.

Poor you, using an agent in 2015...

If you do a border crossing in to Laos you do not need a ticket out.

Buy the ticket online. I went as far as the page where you enter personal info for the reservation.

Flying in is no different than crossing at a border.

Also the IATA info you can get by entering the required info does not mention the need for an onward ticket. http://www.staralliance.com/en/services/visa-and-health/

Hi the only reason I used an agent was that he could get a one way ticket for 3800Bhat which was cheaper than on the internet
