Featured Replies

A Cambodian military official from Battambang province is in the custody of Thai police after he allegedly crashed into and killed two people with his car on the Thai side of the border and fled the scene.

On Wednesday afternoon, Rorng Rin, deputy military commander in Battambang’s Sampov Loun district, travelled across the Romduol border checkpoint in Battambang’s Phnom Proek district for a business meeting in Thailand, said Meas Peun, communications director at the checkpoint.

ThaiVisa, c'est aussi en français

ThaiVisa, it's also in French

so it is not just standard operating procedure for a Thai to flee the scene? Sad to see it seems like a regional issue to be too much of a coward to stop and try and help those you have ran over.

......killing both Thai passengers. What about the driver ?

I just wonder if they will give him the same leniency as they do Thai drivers who do the same.

A thai would get a 500 B fine and thats that - lets see if they treat others diff but I will not hold my breath ....

The Thai driver who killed the Peruvian round-the-world cyclist was fined baht 7,500.

Doubt it.. Thais can be real hypocritical in that way.
