Nice bangkok hotel with good facilities.

Hi I'm back in Bangkok for four nights looking for a good recommend for a hotel it's the beginning of a holiday with inlaws in the sticks so yes I want four nights of luxury. We have stayed in the banyan tree a few times and that's coming in at £530 for 4 nights. It will be myself wife and a two year old so want a good pool and facilities. You get free beer and food for that price on the 19th floor until 10pm.

My question is are their any similar hotels that are cheaper/better price that are newer?

Thanks look forward to your replies and obviously some abuse of some....

Bayan tree too expensive. Try jasmine resort on sukhumvit road directly in front of skytrain bts phrom pong. Around abouts sukhumvit 71. Or just check out agoda.com and look for yourself in the area you prefer.

The Hilton chain has a Discover Asia promo going on right now that's 30% off. That gets you into the Conrad for about $125 USD/night plus tax and service charge. Doubletree and Hilton Sukhumvit - both of which are pretty nice - for less.

Also, you can get the Marriott Executive Apartments (contained within the Suk soi 57 Marriott Hotel) for 3400 thb/night plus tax and service charge. Not as luxurious as Banyan Tree but much newer.

Phrom Pong is most certainly not Soi 71

Well spotted, my bad. I of course meant phra khanong bts, the hotel is right in front of it and the executive rooms or suites are quite good value here also. Quite convenient location for everything.

We really enjoyed Four Points on Soi 15 - In December it was about 3000 baht per night (double room)

Cheaper than that but still quite nice was Hotel Icon on soi 2 - can't remember price, about 2000 baht per night (Excellent management staff, quiet enough to give a personal touch)
