Interesting, that AliMed link you posted, which is a company based in the U.S., has on their website a roster of what they call DME dealers, including one in Thailand called UFAM Clinique Co. Ltd in Bangkok.

When I do a Google search, I come to this site:

http://www.ufamclinique.com/

UFAM CLINIQUE CO.,LTD.

1296/69-71

Krungthep – Nonthaburi Road

Bangsue, Bangsue

Bangkok

10800

Tel : 02-911-2801-6

Fax : 02-911-4786

And on that site, they have listing for disability lifts, and what seems like a pretty wide range of other physical therapy and rehabilitation products from outside Thailand.

Is it possible, there's actually a local company here that imports/sells this kind of products???

Check out http://www.siamnissin.com/ located in bangkok. They have provided us with a pool lift & a wheelchair lift for a van.

He also has the ability to install a lift system in your house.

He has a great variety of wheelchairs. I don't think that he will have a hoyer type lift which is what you really need.

There are a few here but most of them have a few things for hospitals and the rest are imported at very high markups.

FOr example my Oxygen Concentrator in the US costs about $2000 here it is $5000 (cheaper to buy chinese but I did not know that then. A six monthly or so service in the US is about $450 and here only $900.

Look for local solutions first and then look for Chinese. You will be able to get an entry permit to allow health goods for personal use but you will still pay tax.

If you need a Vehicle Lift there is a place in Chonbury selling them.
