BANGKOK: -- POLICE have located the motorcycle used by the team who killed former night-entertainment tycoon Somyot Suthangkool.

The motorcycle was found abandoned in a small soi in Bangkok's Bang Kapi district.

A local garage owner spotted the motorcycle about two weeks ago and noticed that no one had come to pick it up. So when a policeman dropped in to have his car repaired, the garage owner informed him about the abandoned motorbike.

After police checked the bike, they found that it was the one used in the murder of Somyot.

The site of the discovery matched recordings from security cameras retrieved on the night of shooting.

Somyot was gunned down on the night of June 29 after finishing dinner at a restaurant.

Metropolitan Police chief Lt-General Srivara Ransibrahmanakul said yesterday that DNA tests would be conducted using samples collected from the motorcycle and suspects.

He refused to disclose how many suspects had been detained. "We should be able to identify the culprits in the next one or two days," Srivara said.

Just about everywhere in Bangkok has a camera in the soi, why so hard to track people to find this bike until now.

I really do believe when properly motivated the BIB can be remarkably effective. It is just that

they seem to have other priorities. ie. collection of thick envelopes, and helmet fines from

tourists. coffee1.gif

Does the RTP really have time with other crimes with all the posting they do on TVF .... ? whistling.gif

Will they send the DNA to Singapore, or will they process it in a couple of hours in a Bangkok police lab .

"We should be able to identify the culprits in the next one or two days"

This is freaky LOL
