Flood at The Mall in Korat

Featured Replies

Last night we had a lot of rain & the mall in Korat has been flooded, I have just seen the pictures

and not sure if it will open or not today.

Anyone else hear about this.

Thanks for the pics.

The areas affected were The Mall, Save one market, inside the city, and also the roads going into Mararat hospital.

No doubt more to come over the next few months.

Thankfully it has rained in Korat

Hello All, this is close to where I live off Hwy 226, 6 K from the 224-226 Y.

This is part of the new road from E. of Jo Ha Hwy2 to Hwy 224 400M past DoHome.

This the POOL, 4M deep as of today and thing will be muddy for a while. They were

laying rebar to tie the support pilings in the bottom to the base of the support column

thats sticking out in the center, major cluster fork.

If you go to google maps, you can see where they have cleared for the road bed.

The last pic is looking across Hwy 226, the train tracks towards Jo Ha.

Looks the same as a few years back when grand schemes were talked about to remedy this Korat problem

Yes, but corruption seems to get in the way coffee1.gif

Hello All, there is not much forward planning when projects are planned, this is not the first flooding they've had at The Mall,

if you go from the front and take the stairs to the basement, you have to take one step up from the walkway before you start

going down, that is a mini flood wall as last time they were sandbagged to stop the waves washing in from the road as trucks

and buses drove pass.

This is a pic of across the road before they put in the 2M storm drain. May 15, 2008
