BANGKOK: -- The North Bangkok District Court Wednesday opened a new division to help the court speed up trials of cases related to foreign tourists.

The North Bangkok District Court became the seventh court that has tourist case division after the Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Dusit, Pathumwan and Koh Samui courts.

Phattharasak Wannasaeng, secretary general of the Judicial Office said the division would handle cases related to tourists, such as extortion and cheating of foreign tourists.

so they can extort money faster? do the judges speak english ? or is this another : get a thai lawyer + translator + .... kinda deal ?
