Hey,

i am going to get a new tourist visa in Savannakhet after next week.

I would like to know about the Opening times of the Bordercrossing on Second Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge between Mukdahan and Savannakhet?

I know its opening at 8am but the last time i got there i wasn't able to get the entry visa for Laos before 11am because nobody was working at the visa on arrival counter on the Lao side of the border. So i just wonder if i possibly not get a visa on arrival if i come to the border late like 6pm or after?

Also another question: Is it true, that the thai consulate for the visa application has moved from the riverside to a new location near the bus station?

The bridge is open from 6am to 10pm. But the Lao visa on arrival office is only open from 8 am to 6 pm. Sometimes they are open after 6 if they are busy.

Yes the consulate moved to near the bus station in October of last year.
