PHNOM PENH​(Khmer Times) – With Chinese aid, the city’s first security cameras are going up at traffic lights in 20 intersections.

The goals are to enforce traffic laws and prevent crimes, according to the General Commissariat of National Police. Installation started Monday with aid from China’s Ministry of Public Security.

The 20 locations include: Kbal Thnal, the Interior Ministry, Chamkar Mon, Bokor, the Chinese Embassy, the German Embassy, Orussey market, Central Market, Canadia Garden, Nanjing hotel, DN, Sonthor Mok high school, Tep Phon, Mondial Center, Derm Kor market, Olympic Stadium area, Depo market and Chbar Ampov.
