Nok air to Vientiane

Featured Replies

How does it work after they drop you off at the border? Do they pick you up after the bridge and take you to the city? How about on the way back? I would be staying at ibis so I wonder if they will pick me up at hotel or if there is a meeting point. Yeah it's for visa run.

Why mess around - BKK Air do a direct flight ?

So how does it work with lao visa if I take Bangkok air? Do they have visa on arrival at the airport?

Sure they have.

After comparing the prices one might reconsider tongue.png

About the fly'n ride:

the links to the info are 404, not found blink.png

But here you find hints:

They take you to the border checkpoint.

Crossing the bridge with the usual bus on your own.

What happens on the Laos looks somewhat unclear to me.

Seems like a Laos company would transport you to the airport (which might not be what you are interested in).

So basically: they fly you to Udon Thani and provide a bus to the Nong Khai border checkpoint.

From there you are on your own if you want to go to the consulate or the like.

Once you get through Lao customs there's a big green bus that leaves every 20mins to the city. 30bath

You can just take a taxi or tuk tuk to IBIS for around 300-400 baht.

Thinking of going Lao Air as it seems a bit cheaper and it's still flying from the Suvanharbumi which is a lot closer to me than Don Muang.

Anyhoo, I just thought of something. Will the airline refuse you if you don't have a visa to Laos even though there is visa on arrival available?

I'm probably overthinking this, but.....
