I thought 4000 baht for 1 cubic metre was a bit step...

depends if it's being moved one street or between cities 900km apart.

as per the post BKK to CM on a backload. I actually asked for less ie about half a cubic metre. I had a friend hire a full truck for 10k all in with a driver etc. So concidering this I thought I could get a more competitive quote.
