If I have a non-o based on marriage with one year extensions and start a small business (which will require a work permit) will I have to change my non-o to a non-b ?

If this business only earns a little, say 30-40k/month -- that would not be enough for a European to get a one-year extension to the non-b, right?

So basically, for starting a business here and investing some money, I'd lose my non-o, one-year extension and have to start doing visa runs?

No you do not need to change your non-o to a non-b.

You can get a work permit with a non-O
