Non-immigrant O-A Long Stay Visa M

Featured Replies

New to site/forum; apologies if topic already covered. I hold OA Long Stay Non-immigrant Visa.

I entered Thailand 3 July 2015, passport stamped 'admitted until 1 July 2016'. Does 90 day rule apply?

If so can I use immigration on-line service? If not what are my options

Thanks

If by "90 day rule" you mean do you have to report your address to immigration every time you spend 90 consecutive days in Thailand, the answer is yes you do.

There is an online 90-day report service, but it has been reported that immigration must have all your details on file already for the system to recognise you, therefore it is likely that your first 90-day report will have to be made in person, but after this you may be able to use the online system instead.

The online reporting service only works with Internet Explorer currently (or browsers that can be set to emulate Internet Explorer).

You will need to do your first 90 day report in person and register your address at the local immigration office.Your first report will be due 90 days from the date you entered the country.

When you submit your application online it has to approved by the local office. If they have no record of you reporting before they cannot approve it.

Bottom line is that you must do you first 90 day report in person and then once your local Immigration has you in their computer system you may be able to do it online from then on in

BTW, the M at the end of your O-A Visa means "multiple" which indicates that you can come and go in and out of Thailand as many times as you want during the first year of your visa validity (in your case until 1 July 2016). If you do a border run right before the 1 July 2016 date you can obtain another year's "permission to stay" but during the second year you would have to pay 1,900 THB for a re-entry permit to keep your permission to stay valid for that second year if you wanted to leave the kingdom

"...during the first year of your visa validity (in your case until 1 July 2016)."

The visa itself is only good for one year. Did you read somewhere when the OP 's visa was issued?

"...but during the second year you would have to pay 1,900 THB for a re-entry permit..."

A single entry re-entry permit costs 1000 baht. A multiple entry costs 3800 baht.

I came to Thailand on Sept.1 2015 under O-A visa. I must report if I stay consecutive 90 days, but if I go out of Thailand and come back?

Do I still have to report to immigration by end of Nov.? OR it will be after 90 days of my second entry?

I hear that Chiang Mai Immigration office has moved to other location. Where to go to report after 90 days?

Do they answer questions other than 90 days reporting? Which location to find out the answer regarding Immigration question.

You do not have to do a report unless you stay for 90 days. You reports will be due 90 days from the date of entry every time.

Info on the new office is here: Immigration Promenada One Stop Service

That is where you will do your 90 day report and they should be able to answer any questions you have.
