BANGKOK: -- THE FAMILY of construction magnate Chuwong Saetang has turned to the Medical Council for help in determining the exact cause of his death.

"I've heard that the Medical Council has just received the request. We believe the council will contact us," Pol Maj General Chanthep Sesawet, deputy commissioner of Metropolitan Police, said yesterday.

Chuwong died on June 27 when the Lexus in which he was a passenger crashed. It was driven by Pol Lt Colonel Banyin Tangpakorn, a former deputy commerce minister and ex-MP.

Banyin claims the crash was an accident.

The victim's family has suspected foul play since Banyin escaped unhurt and Chuwong reportedly made huge transfers of shares to two women just days before his demise.

Police are seeking arrest warrants in connection with the stock deals.

National Police chief Somyot Poompanmuang urged any witnesses of the car crash to come forward.

"We are carefully conducting the investigation," he said.

Chanthep said Somyot had instructed case investigators at Udomsuk Police Station to focus on 10 additional points.

Banyin has maintained that he did nothing wrong.

The circus just got bigger! giggle.gif

Hopefully they will have some new acts, as all I have seen so far have been clowns and jugglers.

Is this another case too difficult for the police to solve,?

seems pretty clear to me,something is not kosher ,its all

just too obvious,

Not too difficult, but Somyot has no interest in pursuing Banyin. Instead, he is going after the stock brokers who participated in the fraudulent stock transfer. Somyot's thinking, obviously, is that if he gets most of the shares back to Chuwong's wife, that there will be no more pressure to go after his buddy, Banyin, who obviously is implicated in this murder.
