Non B Visa On Basis Of "looking For Work In Thailand"

Featured Replies

In the past I had applied for a tourist visa in Australia and then traveled to Thailand and looked for work at the local universities got a job. Then went with employment contract and sponsor letter to Singapore for NON B visa and applied for a work permit on return with the NON B visa.

Now what I m after is whether it is possible to get a NON B visa (single entry is fine) on the basis of looking for employment in Bangkok to avoid the extra tourist visa when I really want to look for work as an academic at a Thai university but I cannot do it from Australia.

I really only need a single entry NON B visa as i know that it will only take a short time to get a job and the documents needed for the proper visa extention etc and the work permit as i have done it before.

The main issue can i arrive on a NON B visa and look for work get that work and apply for work permit with the NON B i would like to arrive on?

What do I need to do to get this NON B visa on the basis of “looking for work”?

I do not believe you will obtain a B visa without more than "looking for work". But you could arrive on any visa and go about looking for work.
