Re-entry permit required documents and online application

Recommended Posts

I will apply for a multiple-entry permit for my retirement visa/extension of stay. I found the info below under Important Visa Information/Re-entry Permit pinned in this forum. It's dated 2009. Can someone please confirm it's still accurate?

Also, has anyone successfully used the re-entry online booking service of the Thai immigration website? When I click on the link, my browser says, "This connection is untrusted," so I did not proceed.

Please excuse if these topics have been covered here. I did a fair search of the forum and did not find the answers.

Thank you.

When applying for a re-entry permit you will need to submit the following –

* A completed TM-8 form
* The correct fee
* A 2″ photo
* Photocopy of passport (main page, visa page and latest entry stamp)

Current fees for re-entry permit

* 1,000 Baht for single
* 3,800 Baht for multiple

As far as I know the online re-entry permit application is only for Bangkok.

The security warning is because immigration has done a self certification of the security. You will have to use Internet explorer or a browser with an extension for IE to use it.

Once you get on the site you see the terms and conditions that give instruction for what you need to do. It is in reality just a online appointment for the application. You will have to take copies of your passport pages with you.

I have seen no reports of it working.
