Thaksin condemns bomb attack in Bangkok

webfact

Recommended Posts

Quite extraordinary posts/ rantings.

Whether Thaksin expresses condolences is neither here nor there, it's the media who pick up on his comments & they who should drop him from their lists of reportables.

Perhaps your opinions & thoughts should be given over to the the families of those slaughtered & to the victims struggling to recover during this sad time for Thailand.

Show some compassion!!

More in general, would you think Thaksin, his Oak and Poo, etc., would make any comment (written by whom for them...?) on whichever topic on Twitter or Facebook when it would not be to get it publicised and distributed by the sensation hungry media? So right you are, but you confuse the original cause and the consequence.

It is like everyone suddenly has to vent. A touch of recent history: an Iranian blew his own legs off in Bangkok less than five years ago, and hurled bombs at passing cars.

I think he would qualify as an "Arab looking man".

Knuckleheads. The south has Jihadist sympathizers worldwide...several million of them actually.

Some of the replies here are truly pathetic.

There is zero evidence as to who was responsible for this bombing - it could be the junta itself...

If Thaksin said nothing, you would condemn him. If he speaks out, you condemn him.

The junta itself is even less probable than Thaksin. He at least would have a reason. But as you say zero evidence so far.

what on Earth are you yapping on about? What possible reason would Thaksin have? To demonise himself with his supporters? So the Junta can arrest all of his family and ban the colour red maybe? What would his reason be, please, tell me.

They just can't help but try and brighten the mundane, drab lonely existence that they lead stuck behind a keyboard in the middle of nowhere.

I wouldn't call Thailand in the middle of nowhere , but I do understand your Point.

3,200+ posts suggests you must spend some time stuck behind a keyboard.

Just wondering why Taksin's opinion would have any value ? It's time the media put a blanket ban on this muppet !

It would have some value if and only if he sent some money to help victims....

Considering the extremely low compensation offered by the government, he could do well here.... if he was really concerned about the victims.

why the hell has this been published?

Other criminals' unimportant oppinions are not in the news either

Well, since he apparently is the cause of everything that is wrong in Thailand (e.g. it seems corruption and nepotism started with him) I would say his opinions are quite important.

Some seem to think that Thailand was like Eden before he came to power. Strange, I don't remember it like that...

After this looking into the mirror let's go back to the topic with a former-PM having fun in Germany.

Nice of him to offer condolences, especially on Twitter, he always has constructive comments on Twitter

But Thaksin, considered the driving force and chief funder of the protests, was urging Thais through his Twitter messages on Monday to study another film Avatar so they could learn how people using makeshift weapons could defeat a modern army with advanced weaponry.

Time magazine May 24 2010

Really?

No one told him that Avatar is fiction not a Documentary?

Avatar is no more fiction than Thaksins claim that he would join his red brothers and sisters on the streets of Bangkok in 2010. I hope they're not still waiting.

Please there is an "H" in Thaksin...

King Taksin lived over 200 years ago and united Siam (the former name for Thailand)...

Thaksin's got an alibi, he was in Berlin.

It is just not that he has spoken the same as we all---IT IS he didn't bat an eyelid to near 3,000 persons murdered presumed missing when he ordered HIS police to carry out the CULL ???

So there is no wonder why his words are near a joke. Better him get lost--a complete hypocrite.

Regardless of his politics, he's a Thai citizen. He has more of a right to speak for his people than you do.

The joke is on you.

Thaksin is convicted criminal. He should shut up. A criminal who is condemning criminal acts. Isn't it ironic....

Regular readers will know of my dislike for Thaksin, dating back to before he formed TRT, but I have serious doubts he has anything to do with this. Throwing a grenade at the steps of a courthouse is one thing, it's a mighty big step up to perpetrating an act like this, as callous as this, that would knowingly cause massive casualties. Ditto for the junta - there are more efficient and less dastardly ways of creating security situations in order to lock down their control. Those responsible for this were determined to take as many lives as possible in order to make the ultimate statement, whatever that may be. I'm finding it hard at the moment, in the absence of any other evidence, to believe this has anything to do with the current political situation.

Ok I maybe the only who feels this way But I think the PM should shutdown all Media outlets who write or post anything involving Thaskin. Who gives a flying <deleted> what he thinks or says? Now about the bombing I was sadden about the lose of life of innocent people Some lost fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, mothers and children lost there lives over what? To the limp d-ck cowards who made and set off this bomb I hope your caught and a stick of dynamite is shoved up you where the sun don't shine with a 6 foot slow burning fuse so you can think about what you did before it blows up and ripping you apart. Maybe with rusty razor blade glue to it to better make you feel some pain first.

It's quite clear that you do care what he says.

You are starting to sound like the Junta, you've had your say , why shouldn't anybody else. Freedom of the media is the Democratic way what's yours.

Well he is a decorated police general who served 14+ years in the police service. whistling.gif

Assuming we're still talking about Thaksin, even his Pheu Thai members know better than to promote him to general. As the then Minister of Education Prof. Dr. Suchart Thada-Thamrongvech wrote in his policy statement January 2012, it's

"Police Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra"

Why? isn't this what freedom of speech and media is about? And who are you to speak for the majority of the people who may consider his concerns relevant. Shall we put a blanket on his opinion yet allow others to speculate that he was some how involved. Not all Thais and others buy into the one sided view of Thaksin's past when the system is and always has been set up to accommodate abuse of power, after all we are experiencing it first hand on the contrary.

Thaksin is not intrested in freedom of speach.

His wealth increase was reported by Forbes. Where do your lies come from?

Source, please. I do not doubt that his wealth increased. I just have a problem with the unsubstantiated assertion that the increase in his wealth was due to the fact that his sister was PM. Unless you have proof for this then it's just the normal Thaksin bashing.

Nobody will get caught and it will all be swept under the carpet just like those MIB in 2010. The cronies he has throughout the police will make sure of it. The bovine will believe the rhetoric and lies from the likes of Jatuporn that Thaksin was not behind it just like they think the Army fired on unarmed civilians in 2010 even though there is plenty of youtube evidence for those who actually want to know the truth.

The purpose is to damage the economy, bring dissatisfaction to the people and create public pressure for the Junta to step aside before the reforms can be implemented. If they go ahead, he's not coming back in this lifetime.

Let me know if you want me to write in single syllable words as it seems you have trouble keeping up.

I actually hope they find out it was not Thaksin behind it because if it was, all red-shirts will have to live with this stigma for many years to come.
