BANGKOK - Thai police on Wednesday released a detailed sketch of the suspected Bangkok bomber seen on security footage leaving a backpack at a shrine moments before a bomb detonated, killing 20 people and wounding scores more.

The unidentified man, who has a light complexion, some stubble, black hair and glasses, "might be foreign or Thai", according to national police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri.

Is it on purpose that they release a sketch of someone that has no identifiable race, skin color, features....?

Then again if it's a foreigner he's long gone, best to keep their options open so fingers can be pointed at someone, anyone, and get some political gain out of this.

If he's Thai or Chinese he must have been working on that stubble for a month ....

Well they said it could be a wig, so the stubble could be glued on pubes, basically..... they have no idea.

So that pretty much rules out he's a redshirt. (Along with technical details of the bomb, and the indiscriminate murderous/terrorist intent; it's not beyond them to meddle with glorified fireworks against specific political targets and then usually at night when nobody is there. Everything about this is different.)

Might be that the CCTV image was so poor that this is the best they could do with it.

as glorified fireworks!

No it does not. As the red shirts never got things right, it could be that the man in Dubai hired a reliable foreigner.

I am not saying he did, just saying that it is not a evidence against it.

This might rule out his arrival on an international flight. Doesn't immigration take pictures of everyone flying into the country?

After leaving the scene, a taxi bike dropped him off at Silom soi 9 - are the authorities doing 'house to house' down there? Its just a short distance from Taksin Bridge too, so if its the same person(or 'cell'), he didn't run from the city that quickly

This is about finding an obscene human being... Politics can remain out of it until a culprit is found.

The link I provided above was sent to me by Thai friends yesterday (also of no political persuasion)... they thought the 'guy in the yellow T-shirt' could have been this guy... it still could be.

The Police Sketch does show some resemblance - This is someone the Police should at least be questioning, if not for any other reason than to simply rule out.

It seems to me the guy was just a delivery boy. Or a deluded radical student obsessed with Hunger Games. I would keep that option open. It wouldn't be the first time nor it will be the last time that someone was given substantial amount of money to deliver 'goods' to a certain point. People are offered money, the content is never discussed. Desperate people take the money, no questions ask. In any case, the authorities need to get him to squeeze out of him who was behind this attack. If he was only a delivery boy, tough luck.

Ah yes, the old political gain thing...wow! Says the Brother from another planet no doubt.

Could be any U.K. Passport Holder these days.cheesy.gif

Considering the background of the British citizen murdered in this bombing that "joke" is in astonishingly poor taste.

So that narrows it down to circa 8.5m in Bangkok alone....

In other words.... RTP havent got a 'Scooby Doo''

1m baht as a reward, they should up it to 20m at least -IMO
