Coca-Cola held the ground-breaking ceremony for its new $100 million production facility at the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone yesterday, which when completed in 2016 will double the beverage behemoth’s Cambodian output over the next six years.

The new facility, which was announced last November after a meeting between Prime Minister Hun Sen and Coca-Cola’s regional representatives, will be completed by July 2016 and will add around 300 employees to Coke’s existing payroll of 650 workers.

David Wigglesworth, general manager of Cambodia Beverage Company, Coca-Cola’s local subsidiary, said choosing the economic zone to set up a factory was a “smart decision”, given the existing infrastructure.

I'm sure the Dentist are having a large bottle of Wine to cellebrate this event!

and also the manufacturers and pharmacists, selling Glucophage to try and keep the diabetes in control.

Incidentally, this costs 400% more in Thailand than it does in Australia with no Health benefits.

What a load of bull crap. Let me translate the "existing infrastructure" statement for you cheap labor, a government that is not afraid to use the "rubber hose" treatment if workers step out of line and also non existent pollution laws. One just has to love the politically correct statement given out by this general manager. All this politically correct BS is why the American voter is in an uproar. Voters are starting to see through all this politically correct rhetoric. It is no longer passing the bullshit smell test.
