Hi, after some advice regarding health insurance. I am living here now with Thai GF. I have full insurance in Australia. What are the best options to get hospital cover in Thailand ? Is it possible to pay monthly or do you need to cover for a full year. Reason I ask is I may be back in my country for 3 months on holiday next year.

Thanks

You will have to do a search for insurance companies which offer Health Insurance.

I doubt that anything other than 12 month policies will be on offer.

i have paid into BUPA for the last ten years.Once a year payment.

Got ill last year with an illness I had never even heard of before I got it.Could have been life threatening.

Bills over 300,000 but no problem with BUPA covering the bill.

Office in Convent Road but I think they are moving to Saitorn soon.

So it has been worthwhile paying my premiums for all those years and I will continue to do so.

They guarantee to cover you for life if you sign up before age sixty.

Bupa is not as expensive as some companies advertised here and elsewhere.

All policies you pay for a year in full, coverage starts after 90 days, does not include benefits for any illness that you had before, like all policies. They give you a list of hospitals and clinics where they pay the bill.
