SkyRider
I'm about to extend my retirement NON-O visa. My girlfriend called the Samut Prakan immigration office to find out what documents are needed. They told her that one of the documents I need to fill out is, a TM2. Here's a link for it: www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/tm2.doc From what i searched on the internet, it looks like it's for crossing the Thai border with a motorcycle, which I am not going to do. But it does have a section on the from, 5., that says FLIGHT NO. Is this for when I first arrived in Thailand by airplane, 3 years ago?
elviajero
You need to complete a TM.7 for an extension.
nowretired
Seems the G/F is confused ! It is a TM7 which is required. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=download NB Visas are not extended . You will be applying for an extension of stay based on retirement which is not a visa ................

TM2 is definitely not needed for a retirement extension. They might want a TM30 which is for the house-master/owner of the place you stay at to complete. Might be an idea to call again. lopburi3
Normally fixed requirement is TM7 and several additional forms so it might be they were trying to say two others (provided during interview).

She was told that is a new policy, after the bombing. I'll have her call again. About the TM30, she was also told that the building I live in has to report the foreigners that live here. She checked with the building, and they told her that they've already done that.
Tywais
Looking at the TM2, that is for coming in on non-commercial transportation such as car/mc/personal aircraft/boat. If they want it for commercial flight arrival that is what the TM6 card does. So makes no sense.

Suradit69
You might want to read this thread. Someone said they required TWO copies of everything in Samut Prakan. Maybe that was the 2 they were talking about. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/831508-immigration-at-samut-prakan-changes/ Also this poster mentioned a couple of "extra" forms that were required (maybe the form acknowledging the (potential) consequences of overstaying was one of them) I'm about to extend my retirement NON-O visa. No. You're extending your permission to stay, not the visa. Remember the visa is dead, so if you want to leave the country and return, you need a re-entry permit. Best you complete and submit both forms.

Best you complete and submit both forms. I had no idea how to fill out the TM2, but I came with the blank form, they ignored it. I had the TM30 filled out, and they took it -- also, with the TM30, they asked for the owner of the buildings ID, and I had it, because the people that work in the building that I live in, knew that they require it.
