Students allowed to choose how they spend shortened school days

BANGKOK: -- Students will be allowed to leave their classrooms 90 minutes early every day and choose how they would like to fill their afternoons, thanks to a new learning and development initiative devised by the newly-appointed Education Minister.

Ratchaprasong suspected bomber arrested near Thai-Cambodian border

BANGKOK: -- A male foreigner who was suspected to be the yellow-shirted bomber responsible for the deadly bombing at the Erawan Shrine on August 17 was arrested by Thai security forces near the Thai-Cambodian border in Sa Kaew province Tuesday.

Diesel price goes up 40 satang/litre tomorrow

BANGKOK: -- PTT Plc and Bangchak Petroleum announced the increase of pump price of diesel by 40 satang per litre effective as of 5 am Wednesday.
The adjustment will bring the price of diesel to 22.89 baht/litre.


Prices of the other types of fuel remain unchanged. The prices are as follows: benzene 95, 32.66 baht/litre; gasohol 95, 26.10 baht/litre; gasohol 91, 25.28 baht/litre; E20, 23.88 baht/litre; E85, 21.78 baht/litre.
