i e explorer was being it's usual useless self today , so after 3 failed attempts to do my 90 day report online , i thought never mind and jumped on my bike to c.w.

as i am only 10 minutes away from the office ,

normally it is a real arse ache reporting there in person . today however i was very pleasantly surprised ,

1 nobody waiting for a form . big smiles from the staff . 30 secs done

2 ticket ,, big smiles and was told'' you next no have anybody wait '' 30 secs done

3 walked to the desk .... as i walked towards it the immigration officer looked up smiled pressed the button for next number (mine) took my passport smiled again typed a bit , smiled again , handed me back my passport .. all done under 2 minutes ...

wow i have never been in and out of any immigration office in Thailand so fast . whole thing done in under 5 mins . this is a first for me and i rode home very happy .

People who don't live in Bangkok may not know what c.w. means, huh? So reading the unclear post again won't be much help.

elgordo38, presumably the OP was referring to Chaeng Wattana, one of the Bangkok Immigration offices.

Knew immediately it could never be Chiang Mai ,they are really

messing us about up here.

Likewise my last few reports at Jomtien. With the previous bar-coded slip in my passport, no need for additional paperwork and it was processed before I had the chance to sit down at the reporting desk. For that matter, the last few retirement extension renewals there were nearly as fast.
