How you think about freelance local guide?

Featured Replies

I have seen many foreigners come to Bangkok which is not come with tour guide. They are facing to the communication with Thai people. Then I wonder will that be OK if here got provide a local people to be a tour guide for you? you can just tell them where you want to go, what type of activity you like and then the local guide could bring you around.

benefit for foreigners

- can get a tour that suit your need

- can pay less because the local one will not charge like tour company

- can be friend with local

any suggestions?

In this modern age, it is possible to 'get a feel' for a place before even visiting it via the huge range of information there is on the internet. While here, there is a range of instant information at one's fingertips through technology.

However, were I on limited time on a short business visit to Bangkok and wanted to see the city while I was here, I would certainly consider finding a local guide to show me around.

As this forum is mainly for people who live and work in Thailand, maybe you should find a forum more aimed at travellers such as Lonely Planet, Fordors etc.

Good Luck.
