cumgranosalum
The those threads all now seem to be discussing the pros and cons of other visas but there hasn't been a concise update of what is actually happening at the borders (Cambodian and elsewhere) So has anyone got any up to date information on 15 AND 30 DAY VISA EXEMPT STAMPS being issued? Jonathan Fairfield
Ban Laem/Daun Lem, Ban Pakard/Phsa Prum and Aranyaprathet/Poipet, as well as the Phu Nam Ron border in Kanchanaburi are not stamping anyone - more info here You might want to check out this thread which offers suggestions on alternative locations for border runs. Apart from those borders mentioned above, all others around Thailand are stamping as normal. Even some borders on Thai/cambodia border, such as at Surin and Sisaket are still giving stamps. Just avoid the ones mentioned above.
cumgranosalum
OK - I have one slight coomprehension problem. I have various guests statying ovver the next 3 to 4 months...many will be using me as a base and touring the region.. Am I to infer that if they go to cambodia and return through certain border crossings they won't receive a visa exempt stamp..period? Regardless of how long they have been out of Thailand - e.g one hour, one day, one week?
ubonjoe
Only doing out/in border crossings to get a new visa exempt entry is prohibited at the crossings mentioned. People entering from Cambodia and at other borders that have not just left Thailand will not have a problem.

No more Out/In stamps on Thai-Cambo border - for anyone Just to clarify though, if someone were to leave and come back at one of the affected crossings with a currently valid visa a few days later, it should still be OK right? Even before 1st Oct? Basically just no same day in/outs?

It is only out and back on the same day that is a problem at the moment.

ActionManan
So if you want to activate say the second 60 days of a multiple entry tourist visa you will have to stay out of country for a few days? Or would it be ok to go "in out" in this circiumstance ? At Mae Sai .

Or would it be ok to go "in out" in this circiumstance ? At Mae Sai . The only problem at the moment is at the southern Thai/Cambodia crossings. If want to do a crossing at one of those you would to leave at least overnight to use your next entry. At the moment things are expected to back to normal on the 1 st of October. There are plenty of other options other than Mae Sai. See this pinned topic. Border Run Alternatives
