Hi there,

i am a 29 years old guy from germany.

Industrial engineer in the fields of Computernetworks and Softwaredevelopment. Skills in corporatefinance.

presently working as head of department "networkadministration/softwareengineering".

Do you know any companies in the northeastern region of thailand, a IT-prof. like me can work for?

Or do you have any ideas for employment? I want to move to thailand and work there. I know i can't get a fat salary like in europe. But I also work for less money. when the money is enough for me and my wife, home, car, health insurance and a little saving it's ok!

many thanks!

Depending on experience, you can expect 20-30K THB per month, in Bangkok ... Translated in Euro is now between 500 to 750 Euro ...

Check http://www.jobsdb.com, for position and expected rate.

Check also IT Salary 2002, http://ethailand.com/article....ree=251 .

As someone mentioned before, those number came from a recruitment agency ... which commission is based on your salary ...

I'm read somewhere that they plan a Software Park in Isaan, in Khon Kaen.

From the Google Cache:

Khon Kaen to set up software park

Anyone with connection with the Khon Kaen University ?

The Income Tax calculation is available here:

http://www.rd.go.th/publish/6000.0.html

Assuming less than 500K THB per Year, you will pay 10% of this (Minus Deductions and Allowances)

I guess, It's also available on Thaivisa.com ...

Health Insurance ... I have no clue ...

I only heard about Blue Cross: http://www.bupathailand.com/

You may plan for this later, but if you intend to stay for sometime, you need to think seriously about your (Future) kids educations.

you need to think seriously about your (Future) kids educations.

And their FUTURE.  And old age.  And what happens if he can't work?  There is a whole lot more than a little less pay involved in a move to working here on a local hire basis.  Double think everything.
