Just another dog killer, ...why do the dogs chase you? are you really such a pussy?

To the nutjob who called me a "pussy" I don't need you or any other nutjob to tell me I am a dog killer. 30 years ago while on the first day of a 10 day hiking trip with my gf one hour out of the airport we were traveling thru a desert area and stopped to take a photo. A baby dog that fit in my shoe was several hundred yards out in the desert. Closest village was 7 miles away. No mama dog. Probably thrown out of a car or wandered off an Indian village. We coaxed it with chicken and water. Took 30 minutes for it to come to us. We played it for an hour and finally decided we had to leave. We were sad but what could we do? The damn dog followed us back to the rental car and as I turned around to look at it I saw it next to me. I picked it up and put it on my gf's lap. Next day took it to the vet. It was sick, malnutritioned, had fleas and bad teeth. Cost me $100.

We kept the dog for 10 days and at the end we could not give it away. We loved it. I had to fly home on a different airline. Cost $500 plus another vet visit for pills and buy a cage. Spent two or three months daily training that dog. After that I never had a leash on it for 17 years until it died in my hands. Cried like a baby for months. Never got another dog.

These are not dogs in Thailand. They are pests. They are vermin. They chase, piss and shit all over your bikes, cars and yards. They do not have shots or tags. The owners don't give a sheeet about them. The owners do not care about privacy, common sense or rights of others. Dogs run amok everywhere here. The noise alone can drive people to move out.

So I don't need a lecture from any Thai or anyone else about being a dog killer. I saved the life of that dog. Again, these are not dogs.

I will say this. It isn't the fault of the dogs. It's the fault of the owners, the police and society in general. Who the hell wants a dog chasing a kid or anyone else? I am amazed at the total lack of common sense or decency or other people's rights when it comes to dogs.

What is it about Thais that they think it is ok if a dog chases you or bites you or pisses on you or barks the whole flucking night long depriving you of sleep or runs all over your yard?

Then again I did not mention dogs in my post. I was referring to rats.

I am damn near as confused as you. Are they dogs or are they rats?

Maybe English is not your native language and you don't understand there is a difference between a dog and a rat. I would strongly suggest you get an English dictionary before posting any more on an English speaking forum.

^^^ And yet you went on a huge rant about dogs and prescribed the exact same qualities to Thai dogs as you did to the "dog sized rats with owners".

I thought I knew what was going on until I read this.

Are you trying to kill dogs?

Those that get it get it. Those that don't I don't give a rat's ass about.

Scarletibis,

dogs are dogs. Rats are rats. It was you who caused the confusion naming dogs which you don't like "rats". Both dogs and rats were in the area long before you were and the way you are talking about the dogs here does not let me doubt a second that when you are pointing with one finger at the dogs, 4 fingers of the same hand point at you.

For dogs it is a game to chase a bike or a car as they think someone is fleeing them. Great fun, because they always win. Everytime it happens to me and I feel like facing them, I simply stop, wave my hands and yell at them. They have never attacked me. If they really attack you, pepper spray is the answer, not rat poison.

If you really want to poison dogs with rat poison, I hope fate or the law will put you into your place or some of the more sensible admins here will take a minute or two and report your IPs to the BiBs.

Rats don't like pepper spray. Where do I get some? I'm sure they will stand still for me to spray them.

You know once in a while is fine. Two three times a day every day is an issue. Maybe the authorities will get rid of them for me. LOL

Where can someone buy pepper spray?

Amazon.com or read: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/791968-is-pepper-spray-legal-in-thailanI

I read the thread. Pepper spray is illegal in Thailand. And I sure don't want to get fined 100 baht. Way over my weekly allowance.

Anyone know whatever happened to the guy whose dog got attacked in Bangkok I think and the guy went back and killed the dog that attacked his dog? I think it belonged to a cop. Dog was running around loose. The other guys dog was on a leash.

I have a better idea. Give me your address and I will hire a company to round them all up and deliver them to your doorstep. Problem solved.
