PATTAYA: -- On Saturday afternoon a 55 year old female house owner was confronted by an armed man who forced her to hand over 50,000 Baht’s worth of cash and valuables.

Khun Tongbie was cleaning a bag at the rear of her East Pattaya home when a Thai man, described as tall and very dark skinned with tattoos on both arms, entered her home and, at knifepoint, forced her to hand over the valuables.

A gold ring worth 5,000 Baht, a gold necklace worth 40,000 Baht and 5,000 Baht in cash were handed over to the man, who Khun Tongbie claimed she had seen walk past her house earlier in the day, but thought nothing of it as a construction site was located nearby.

Lucky woman! In my country you first get killed, then they steal your 100 baht...that's why I love Thailand

did he way her when he was done and than she replied: thank you, please come again ?

if this man was a labourer on the construction site he shouldn't be hard to find unless of course he has done a runner , I have no doubt his mates will provide the police with more information hopefully the police will arrest him before he can get rid of the gold items .

Why thais insist on buying gold and wearing it for everyone to see is beyond me.... put it in a bank and gain interest or is that just too tempting to spend?
