Nigerian man arrested for allegedly selling drug in Bangkok
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Police have arrested a Nigerian man for having allegedly selling narcotics in Bangkok.

Pol Col Thirachai Chamnarnmor, commander of the investigation subdivision 2 of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said Clement Okafor, 33, was arrested in a sting operation on Wednesday.

Thirachai said police planned the operation after drug suspects in other cases implicated Okafor as the one who allegedly supplied drug to them.

He was arrested after an undercover policeman contacted him to buy three grammes of crystal methamphetamine from him for Bt3,000. He was arrested while delivering the drug to the undercover policeman on Soi Navamin 42 in Bueng Kum district.

Police seized 255.8 grammes of crystal methamphetamine, and 716.64 grammes of heroin from Okafor, who has been working as English teacher in Thailand for one year and three months.

So thats why Thai's aren't learning English that explains it all.gigglem.gif

Er ... so you also have English that doesn't explain it all?

Er, could you translate that into English?

This is news?

This is what Nigerians do in Thailand.

They sell drugs and scam Thai women.

When things get "sticky" they teach English.

I worked with a Nigerian teacher once who told me he came here to sell drugs...

But when his brother / boss was put in prison, he decided teaching was a better option...

But he continues to scam and sexually assault Thai women.

Nigerians should be confined to Nigeria!

Well, since you insist:

So that's why Thais aren't learning English. That explains it all.

Its either Sukhumvit soi 13 or 15 where a group of africans all hang out sitting on plastic chairs as you enter the soi. You allegedly give the nod and a guy further up produces the goods

Police know they are selling, I guess they might be more interested in nabbing a farang after purchase.

I don't know any Nigerian drug sellers but I've gotten a lot of messages from various Nigerian princes and princesses wanting me to enter business deals with them, Some wanted me to travel to Nigeria to conclude the deals.

3 grams at 3000 baht would mean you could potentially by a kilo of ice by the gram for a measly 985600 baht at street level... I don't think so. I also think they might have <deleted> up the decimal points again no way he was carrying a 1/4 kilo of ice and 3/4 of a kilo of smack around with him

English teacher, yeah right ... I bet Immigration let this Nigerian scum enter the border for a bribe, just like the bombers ... blink.png

Does it really matter if Immigration turned a blind eye when there's at least one school (and a whole foreign teacher licensing authority) that is doing the same?

Nice edit BTW... the 'must read' tag-line in the TV email shot still clearly says, "Drug dealing English teacher arrested in Bangkok."

Every cloud has a silver lining. He may get 25 years but he could have been at the Hadji and blamed for the stampede. Then he would be for the chop .

I have heard many, many people butcher the English language, but never as badly as most Nigerians.

As for the drugs.....par for the course.

He should have been arrested long ago for trying to teach English.

Well I'm not claiming intimate knowledge but I doubt you would get much change from 100 bucks for a gram and I suggest a million baht wouldn't even get you a kilo off the cook but they love fudging the figures. Much like the shiela the other day that apparently had 2.1 billion baht worth of drugs in her camry. Well if the 5 kilo of ice she was carrying was only worth 5 million baht...well you do the math. Not really sure what's worse, bad math or bad meth

I just received an email from a guy in Nigeria who has 10 million pounds and needs to transfer it out and he want's me to help him.

He says if I invest with him I will receive 1 million pounds once it's transferred out.

I have to send just $1,500 dollars to him and he will arrange everything and transfer my amount into my bank.

What is wrong with a Nigerian teaching English? In high school, I had a French teacher from Scotland.

You lost me. You mean the English teachers in Thailand are all Nigerian? Or, the English teachers in Thailand sell drugs? Or, the English teachers in Thailand are Nigerian drug dealers? I think you will find the majority of English teachers in Thailand are English. Perhaps that explains why Thais aren't learning English.

Nigerian teacher arrested for selling “Ice”

BANGKOK: -- A Nigerian English language teacher was arrested yesterday by a special unit from the 2nd Metropolitan Police Narcotics Division for selling "Ice" (crystal meth) and heroin to local and foreign customers.

Police said the arrest of Mr Clement Okafor Ndubuisi followed disclosure by three men arrested earlier by the police on drug charge.

They revealed that they bought the drugs from the Nigerian teacher.

The police searched his rented apartment room in Bueng Kum district where they discovered 8 bags of Ice which weighed in at almost 300 grammes.

Twenty nine lumps of heroin kept in small plastic bags weighing 716 grams in total was also seized along with no less than 10 other narcotics related utensils among which was a digital weighing machine.

Following his arrest Clement had revealed that his supply came from a Ghana national known as Eboka who is living in Pattaya.

He said he has been employed as a language teacher in Thailand for the past 3 months and sold his drugs to local as well as foreigners.
