Mai Sai 30 day stamp border run?

Featured Replies

So, I have finished my ED visa. I have obtained a job and I am awaiting the necessary paperwork to go to Laos and get my Non B visa.

However, my ED visa expires 30th of September and the paperwork won't be ready until after that date. So, can I still go to Mai Sai and get 30 days stamp. Providing a flight / hotel booking for my Laos trip is possible.

Any recent experiences, or advice on the situation would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I went 3 months ago and was refused to cross. I was told no more visa runs and there was a big sign saying the same thing. I had a brand new passport and NO stamps at all so it was nothing to do with my personal circumstances. As my visa finished the next day i had to take a very expensive flight to KL the next morning and obviously wasted a whole day travelling to Mai Sai and back. Maybe things have changed since i went but personally i won't be back to Mai Sai anytime soon.
