Good portable fan for Condo Room

Featured Replies

I have a Protech fan in my room a cheap one from Big C

Which i saw when shopping there

Not too good air flow even when close

Can anyone suggest a good brand of portable fan for my room

Where can i buy it from and possible price

Not sure what your definition of portable is, but the best one I've got is a Hatari 16", 50 watts or so, extendable on a plastic pole but only up to 4 ft or so. Had it for years and it still doesn't buzz. Probably about 1,000 baht.

Got a bunch of other 16/18" Hataris, 50ish-80 watts - more like 2,000 baht - which extend up to 5/6 feet on a metal pole, but they all start buzzing after a while due to the swing mechanism. Some have remotes which are useful.

18" 80 watt is best when it's really hot though, or even 18" 120w. Forget 14".

Mitsubishi apparently excellent but not tried one. Not tried the cheap imar-somethings either but they look like they might be okay.

Hatari, Panasonic or Mitsu.

Usually when I have tried to buy a fan ,especially from Tesco , I have pointed out the one on display and tell them that is the one I want. I then get the retort "no hab", but, this fan at double the price is excellent , number one!, number uno partner!, best in Thailand and the whole world !!! . All except the time we went into Big C a few months ago expecting the same crap and we

picked out a well known brand of fan at 750 baht and the salesman said it was the last one in the shop but we could have it for 500 baht !!! . It lasted 5 weeks before it burnt out.

Hatari 16" with remote control. Has a great 'natural' function which feels like a breeze. Just over under 2k baht from Lazada... Had one for 4 years in Phuket... Superb. Just got one last week as I am now in Pattaya.

Nice one - now push it into the base properly!
