And the apps don't attract creepy losers? I don't go into bars often, but when I walk by the women seem to be having fun sometimes being chatted up by the creeps and playing pool. And the advantage of being in a bar is they can make additional money with drinks. Maybe some girls rely mostly on drinks and don't even go with customers that much. I would find it plausible (of course, I wouldn't like it). Foreigners have to remit money into Thailand, in order to live on it. So let's tax it. Rich Thais need an incentive to repatriate money. And they are us, anyway. Poor Thais' foreign remittances are 2 groups: those working abroad - let's give them the chance to remit their (probably taxed abroad) wages without (double) taxation. Those investing paltry sums abroad (gf bought Google stock the other day, for about 3 USD) are basically taxed at source.
