3BB Internet Down In CM

Featured Replies

Been without 3BB fiber since before lunch. Last night it took 45 minutes to download a 39 MB file.

Called their help line just now and they said they are experiencing a chiang mai wide problem.

Anyone else having the same issue? Can you go on the internet to complain about having no internet?

Last time we had service from a telephone company (TOT) they came and cut the cable of the internet company (3BB) to fix their own cable (which they pulled new through the moo baan) on the connector box.

Check if someone was in your garden :). No joke.

I have both TOT fibre and 3BB fibre and a load balancing machine. The last 2 days or so both have been up and down like a whore's drawers and both have told me that they have a problem which for TOT was supposed to be fixed yesterday but was not ( the speed was OK but websites would not open) and today 3BB has been OK. i have had to switch priority on the load balancer depending who was actually giving me connectivity. Usually they blame my load balancer/ my ip address/ my location/ what I had for lunch pick any of the above but it is not us!

I have True wired in. I have been having problems with them for a while now. Four days in a row they were down for an hour. We also have 3BBB in the building and it has been an iffy thing also. The Granddaughters were also having problems from time to time with AIS. I was in paying my True bill today. They told me Bangkok was having problems. So far today has been OK. I don't use many over seas ones but Facebook was slower than the second coming for a while then good then not finally not even available that was for about a two day period of time.

All of this started for me after that big storm about a week ago.

the internet is a mess. why? turn on the news!

Apparently the afternoon thunderstorm knocked out power to their main office (no back-up generator, I guess) and it took several hours for the electric company to repair the line.

Had 2 power cuts today. Need to get that UPS running. It's annoying.

So, what exactly is going on with 3BB? the recent intermittent service is a nightmare!

I live in Hang Dong and today there have been at least 5 short time (15 minutes or so), 3BB service outages. It's been like this for the last week or so.

Admittedly it's not difficult to remedy the problem (rebooting the wifi router is all), but it is frickin' annoying!

So, my Thai wife and I went to the 3BB outlet in BigC, Hang Dong today to ask if there was a problem. In the course of a 10 minute discussion the 3BB girl said 1) There was no problem 2) That there was a problem but she didn't know what it was 3) That the problem was caused by too many users??!! 4) That it was an electrical fault 5) That it was "probably" our fault...

My helpful suggestion that we should withhold our payment until the (non) problems were resolved was met by the "I don't care" shrug of the shoulders.

It's a shame...Until now I've been impressed with 3BB

We were away 23rd-28th September, so I don't know when it started but since 28th our TOT service has been going off several times a day, sometimes for a good couple of hours. On Thursday we changed from ADSL to VDSL and hoped it would right itself; while it is downloading faster most of the time (we took the 20 mbps option) it is still going down just as often.

I am inclined to think that somebody, somewhere is doing a bit of fiddling with the settings, and as it's more than one company being affected it has to be at a high level; I don't know if this is CM specific or northern region specific or nation wide.

In theory, the government has decided against their firewall idea, but politicians aren't exactly renowned for telling the truth.

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.
