Railway line within Bangkok to Mae Nam, Tha Rua Mai etc not operating?

Featured Replies

Royal train user for 2 reasons. Dirt cheap fares even for my poor budget, & I live in Hua Lamphong (actually seeking new room nearby, kinda difficult)!

To get to the point, is the specific line operating? I should go & ask myself but perhaps some veteran here would like to share any info about this.

Is this the line that runs down to Klong Toey Port via Makkasan?

How many times have you been on the Royal train?

I believe that's the one he's talking about, Mae Nam being the port end of the line.

I'm pretty sure there's currently no passenger service along there it's just a spur to the port.

Well I assume the same. Regarding the station buildings in those stops, there must have been some passenger activity in the past.

Plenty but within city limits exclusively.

I use the train at least 3 times weekly (usually with return), all stations from Phaya Thai to Lat Krabang and from Bang Khen to Rangsit you name it. Couple of times I traveled outside Bangkok, but that's all.
