Hello, I am a 32 year old Irish passport holder who is currently staying in Ubon province. I have a normal 30 day on arrival permit(valid until 22.10.2006) which I got from Chong Chom. I am working on a voluntary basis at a local secondary school and recently heard a rumour that, due to recent changes, on leaving the country I will not be granted re-entry for 3 months. I have been here since June but have only made 2 official visa-runs(to Myanmar and Cambodia). I need to know if there is any substance to this rumour. Also my school wish to get a longer visa for me but I don't know if I can get one while here in Thailand. Any helpful info would be great. :o:D
